It wasn’t until I hid my mid thirties that I started to notice a huge decline in my health. I grew up eating nothing but vegetables at home and it was only in elementary and high school where I began introducing meat other than pork or fish. Last year, I completed the elimination diet because my asthma and allergies was hitting an all-time high. It was an excruciating six weeks, but I did it! It was concluded that I was allergic to citrus, pork and beef. Even worse, my body reacts when I eat too much fried foods. Hard to believe because citrus is almost in everything and fried foods were my fave. This gave me an eye opener and is when I finally realized that in order to get better and take control of my body is to take control of what I’m putting in.
I changed my diet and because I’m the cook of the house, my family became a part of my healthy lifestyle.
Another challenge was being able to get the right amount of vitamin C. I juice a lot. When I say juice, I mean greens. I am able to take small amounts of citrus since juices seem to have a slight amount of them mixed in.
My daily go-to probiotics are Tula. Not only do they smell nice other than the many others that I have tried, they are individually wrapped so that I don’t have to carry a huge bottle of pills, they also provide a natural balance to my digestive system to keep it running.
